Blue cloth spine with black title. Pictorial onlay to front cover. Grimm's Fairy Tales. 2 colour plates, including frontis. B/w illustrations. Marks, including cup ring mark to covers, with wear and chipping at edges. Binding is weak - joint next to half-title page is pulled, so that stitching can be seen through. Some light foxing and browning, mostly to outer page edges.
The lovely princess Dorinda enlists the help of witch Carabaracola and two little imps, Jenky and Jonky, to help her find her lost sister. 6 charming tipped-in colour plates plus numerous b/w text drawings. Red cloth, black titles and decorations to front cover and spine. Pictorial endpapers. 159 pages. Spine is bumped with some fading and marks. Wear and bumping to corner; couple of nicks to cloth at corners. Spotting to covers. Page browning and foxing throughout. Illustrations are still nice and bright!
Orange cloth with black titles and vignettes. 12 pretty colour plates and numerous b/w illustrations. Spine is faded with some browning and wear. Corners are bumped. Some grubby and other marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Foxing to various degrees throughout book, but heavies to prelims and outer page edges and margins. All plates present. Plate opposite page 136 has tape repair to corner (picture not affected). Margin tear and creasing to page 235 (text not affected).
Very large format - 18 x 14". Red spine, pictorial boards. Gorgeous colour pictures of fairies plus colour decorations surrounding text. Due to the size of this book, if posted, it will need to be sent via courier and may incur extra shipping costs. Wear with some staining to spine; small nicks and chips to top and tail. Bumping along cover edges. Scuffing to covers; a little surface paper damage to top edge of front cover. Uneven browning to covers, with some foxing; damp staining also to rear cover. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Varying degrees of foxing and browning to pages internally. First couple of pages have small page margin tear to top edge. Most illustrations are still lovely and bright!

Joan is a little girl who believes in fairies and when the gardener tells her that the best place to find them is among the wild flowers, she goes in search of them. Tinkler the elf acts as guide, and Joan makes some wonderful discoveries. Cream cloth, red titles and fairy vignette to front cover. Green pictorial endpapers. Full-page colour illustrations of flower fairies and b/w text illustrations. Bumping to spine and corners. Tape residue marks to pastedowns. Foxing to outer page edges. Browning lines across a few pages. Wrapper is creased with tears and chips; some tape repairs and residue; a few grubby marks.
As observed by Geoffrey Hodson, clairvoyant. Beige boards, blue titles. Not illustrated. SIGNED by the author with personal dedication to front endpaper. Spine browned, boards a little grubby. Text block and endpapers browned. Center hinge pulled but binding tight. Contents are clean.
