A colourful and exciting story for boys and girls laid in Restoration England and early American Colonies. Blue cloth boards, red title block to spine with gilt title. B/w illustrations. Blue mark to spine. Cloth to base of spine and lower 1/3 of rear board creased. Top corner of front board creased. Text block a little browned. Contents generally clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn with a few closed tears and small chips, blue biro to 'G' and 'y' of title, spine browned, rear panel grubby.

The life of the famour Norseman Harald the Stern - Harald Hardrada - during the years 1034 to 1044, which he spent in the Byzantine Empire as captain of the Greek Emperor's northern guard. Dark grey cloth boards, silver title to spine. Spine cocked. Text block browned and with minor foxing. Endpapers browned. Yellow pictorial dustwrapper is browned and a little grubby.
