Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
A thrilling story set in and around Whitby and the moors of North Yorkshire. Blue boards, gilt titles and author signature vignette to front. Endpapers are maps. B/w illustrations. 216 pages. Very minimal bumping to spine and corners and some very light browning to top and tail of spine. Faint fading to top edges of covers, a tiny brown mark to lower edge of front cover. Some foxing to endpapers. A small brown mark to edge of textblock else contents clean. Dustwrapper is a little edge worn, slightly faded, foxed on verso and a bit grubby on rear panel.

Three volumes. Full brown leather bindings. Marbled endpapers and edges. 143 b/w plates. 10.5 x 8.5 inches. All plates are present. The contents of this set are very good but the covers leave a lot to be desired! Front endpapers are missing from volumes I and III. Vols I and III have been amateurishly rebacked in brown leather and the covers are very worn.
