Also includes The Swine Herd, The Six Swans and The Emperor's New Clothes. Cloth spine, pictorial front board shows Thumbkin on lily pad. Pastedowns are colour illustrations, also colour plates and some b/w illustrations to contents. Some browning to spine. Scuffing and chipping along cover edges. Title has a few white marks to it. Foxing throughout.
Red cloth spine, with black title and decoration. Pictorial covers. Colour plates, two tone and b/w illustrations throughout. Spine bumped, corner and cover edges worn. A little surface paper damage to both covers. One gathering is almost detached. Some puzzles completed in pen. Pencil and ink inscriptions to verso of frontis. A few hinges cracked. Red pen mark to margin of page 60. Some foxing and margin marks to contents.
Green covers with black title to spine and vignette to front cover. 20 illustrations by Freeman. Covers are mottled with fading. Edges are worn. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Some foxing. Wrapper is torn and chipped, with some loss to corners and creased.

Front joint is partly broken causing front free-endpaper to be part detached. Foxing throughout. Colouring (mostly very neat) to the b/w illustrations.

Spine faded. Edges worn. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. A few marks to contents. Rear board grubby.
