Cloth spine with pictorial onlay of girl in yellow dress, pictorial front cover shows two girls, one playing a whistle(?). 6 colour plates and b/w illustrations. 168 pages. First story is 'The Sea-Eagle' Nest' by Francklyn. Spine and corners bumped. Covers edge worn. Onlay to spine is a little sunned. Crease to corner of front free-endpaper. Heavy foxing.

Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
7th year. Brown cloth spine with pictorial onlay showing girl with holly. Pictorial front board shows same girl walking dog. First story is "Black Into White" by Carruthers. Also includes "Biddy's Bright Idea" by D.F. Bruce. 6 colour plates including frontis by Harrison. B/w illustrations. Spine slightly bumped, top edge of pictorial onlay on spine is slightly worn. Lower edge of front cover is rubbed. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Light browning to endpapers and heavy foxing to textblock and page margins else contents clean. Scarce dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with some tape repairs on verso. Small hole to base of wrapper spine.

Scarce dustwrapper is browned and slightly grubby, worn to edges with creasing to top of spine.

Contents generally clean with just a little foxing.

Cloth at the top of the spine is beginning to split. Board edges lightly rubbed. Spine browned and covers grubby. Both joints are cracked. Endpapers are browned. Foxing throughout which is especially heavy to prelims and last few pages.
