Large format. Orange cloth spine with black titles. Colour pictorial front board shows boy and girl hanging balloons and decorations. Colour plates and b/w illustrations. First story A Couple of Guineas. Spine and corners bumped, cover edges rubbed. Name plate to front pastedown (name not filled in). Foxing, mainly to textblock. Tobacco smell to contents.
Peach cloth with gilt titles to spine and front cover, black illustration also to front. Yellow endpapers. 201 pages. B/w illustrations. Spine slighty bumped. Contained in publisher's slipcase.
Red cloth with gilt titles and vignettes to spine and front cover. B/w illustrations. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Fading to spine. A little chipping/fraying to cloth at corners of top of spine. Marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing throughout. Page edges are uncut, with margin tears to some. Front joint is cracked.
Green cloth with gilt titles to spine and front cover. Pictorial onlay to front cover. 4 tipped-in colour plates. B/w illustrations. SIGNED by author, with dedication to a previous owner to front endpaper. Also includes a hand written postcard from the author to the same previous owner. Chipping along bottom of spine; some fraying/loss to cloth. Bumping to corners. A few marks to covers. Some foxing. What look like browned glue marks to pastedowns. All plates present.
48 colour illustrations of animals, trains, ships etc. Red cloth spine. Pictorial front board showing a boy and a girl reading a book. Large format. Spine bumped and worn. Top corners of book badly bumped. All corners worn. Cover edges rubbed. Marks to rear board. Front board a little scuffed. Joints have been reinforced but middle hinge is badly cracked showing webbing and string beneath. Small tear to the margin of one plate and small hole at the hinge side of another plate. Endpapers are browned. A few marks to margins. Top corners of all pages bumped.

Gilt to spine has rubbed off. Front joint was broken but has been re-glued. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Some page corner creases. Some hinges cracked. Grubby fingermarks to page margins.
