A vivid, fast-moving story of an unusual adventure on the Grand Union Canal. Orange cloth. B/w illustrations. 164 pages. Staining to boards. Spine slightly cocked. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Some colouring to b/w frontis. Pictorial dustwrapper is heavily repaired with tape to verso which has aged and is now showing through to the front. Some surface paper loss to rear panel of dustwrapper and some loss to spine.
The story of two city children sent to stay on a farm where they thought nothing ever happened. They soon changed their minds. The story was also filmed on Malcolm Saville's farm in Hertfordshire. Green cloth, yellow title to spine. B/w text illustrations. 128 pages. Damp mark to bottom of front cover, which goes through boards to some pages of book; wrinkling. Small name in ink to front endpaper. Wrapper is torn with damp marking; 2-3" piece of loss to bottom of front panel.
Green cloth covers. Title to front and spine, vignette of Jimmy also to spine. 272 pages. B/w illustrations throughout. Lower corners bumped. Gilt on spine dulled. Tape repair to small tear on edge of page 35. Nick to top edge of a few pages near centre of book. Dustwrapper is edge worn with a few small tears which have been repaired on verso with tape but this has shown through on front. Wrapper slightly grubby with some foxing on verso.

Red cloth spine. Pictorial front board shows children playing each with a month on them. First story is 'The Girl Who Liked Fairy Tales. Pretty colour plates and two-tone text illustrations. 163 pages. Base of spine bumped. Minimal wear to spine and corners. A couple of hinges starting to crack. Just a odd fox spot otherwise contents clean. Dustwrapper is badly torn around bottom half of spine and along rear fold and into rear panel, with creasing but very little loss. Small tears and creasing to top of spine. A few other chips and tears to edges.

Cloth spine with black title. Pictorial front cover shows girl sat in wicker chair reading, fairy on her foot. Colour and b/w illustrations. 10.25 x 8". Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Rear cover is scuffed and slightly grubby with some pen marks. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Contents a bit fingered with a few margin marks and an odd margin tear. Light foxing, mainly to endpapers.

In this, the 4th story about Michael and Mary Bishop and their Scotty dog Dougal, they have an exciting adventure in the curious country of the great landslip, on the Dorset coast between Lyme Regis and Seaton. Cream boards, green titles. B/w illustrations. A little bumping to spine, corners and cover edges. Some foxing and yellowed tape marks to covers. Neat ink inscription to front endpaper. Some browning to endpapers and foxing to page edges. Contents smell slightly of smoke. Dustwrapper is edge worn and creased with some loss at base of spine. Large tear to top of spine has been repaired on verso with tape, now yellowed. Pink stains to rear panel.
