Very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper.
Three children, home for the holidays find a mysterious boy living next-door. Red cloth, black titles. Black and white illustrations. 184 pages. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Fading to spine and board edges. Small split in cloth at top of spine. Small bookseller's label to top of front pastedown. Boards are slightly bowed. Foxing mainly to page edges. Bottom corner of some pages lightly creased. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some tears (including to front fold and spine) and creasing. Some of the tears have been mended on verso with clear tape. Some loss to top and bottom of spine. Chipping to corners. Light foxing to verso.

Tales of Brer Rabbit and his friends, retold from the original. Green cloth, gilt titles to spine. 10 x 7.5". Red, grey and white illustrations throughout. 128 pages. Top front corner bumped. A couple of very small marks to covers. Just a little light browning to endpapers and light foxing to text block. Text pages clean. Very scarce dustwrapper is edge worn with slight loss from top of spine and top corner of front panel. A couple of horizontal tears to spine with a few white labels stuck to verso to strengthen/repair. Spine browned. Wrapper slightly grubby.
