New Edition. A delightful collection of short stories. Lovely pictorial boards, blue cloth spine. Decorated endpapers. Colour illustrations throughout. 60 pages. 10 x 7.5". Top of spine and lower corners bumped. Top half of spine is marked (water stained?). Light browning to endpapers. Surface paper damage to pages 26 and 27, assume they have been stuck together, about 15 words of text affected. Rest of contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn, light browning to flaps. Colours still bright.

Name and date in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and page edges else contents clean. Price-cut wrapper is worn and creased with loss at spine and edges.
Fardingales is a large white three storied house on the South Devon coast. Here the heroes Humphrey Anthony, his cousin Anstace Rosevere and their friend Tom Vinton find that small articles of personal property mysteriously disappear. There are mysterious passageways and eerie cellars and then Humphrey and Anstace are kidnapped and imprisoned. What has the house Fardingales got to do with desperate criminals? Blue cloth, black title to spine. B/w frontis. 152 pages. Spine a little bumped and faded, Some marks to covers. Prize presentation plate to front pastedown. Endpapers browned and foxed. Foxing also to page edges. Contents seem clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and creased. Small area of loss to back panel and top of spine which is faded. Brown mark to rear panel which is grubby.

'A Priory Book'. Red covers, black titles. 150 Pages. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is price-cut with some closed tears and creasing.
Green boards, black title to spine. B/w illustrations. Spine split for 2" from base and 1" from top. Name in ink to front endpaper. Wrapper torn with loss.
