Mottled endpapers with gilt borders. 7.25 x 5.5". 15 hand-coloured illustrations with paper guards. 87 pages plus 2 page publication list. All edges gilt. A little rubbing to spine and cover edges. Small patches of wear to covers, hardly noticeable because of mottle pattern. Two words in tiny writing to top edge of verso of front endpaper. A little foxing, mainly to prelims. Just a very odd mark to contents.

Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. A few light spots to covers. Light pink damp stains to edges of endpapers. Browning to half-title, tissue-guard of frontis and to last page of booklist. Foxing and some page edge darkening throughout. A good example of the 2nd edition.
