And, as though that wasn't enough, the story of a missing boy; mysterious signs and messages; a Fair... This is the third story about Susan and Bill and is one of their most exciting adventures. Red boards, black titles and vignette. B/w illustrations. 120 pages. Spine and corners bumped. Cover edges slightly darkened and some fading to top and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is from a later edition (price on front flap is 6/- and "Saucy Kate" is listed on back flap). Old tape marks to edges of wrapper flaps. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn and slightly faded to spine.

Child's name and address written twice in blue and red ink to front free-endpaper, prize plate to half title-page has been partially removed. Foxing to textblock. There is a small biro mark to rear free-endpaper. Dustwrapper is edge chipped with slight loss and some old tape marks at edges and also to base of spine.
