Being nine Fairy Tales from the Old French. Blue cloth covers, gilt title to spine. 12 superb colour plates throughout. 251 pages. 9.5 x 7". Spine and corners are bumped and worn. Browning to spine, with a little fraying/chipping to cloth to top and tail. Some browning marks/scuff marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Foxing to outer page edges, endpapers, title pages and a few page margins internally. All colour illustrations are present and bright.

Pictorial covers and spine. Front cover shows a cowboy having his tooth pulled out with a rope! Colour frontis + 3 other colour plates. First story is 'How Lee Perry Played the Juice' by Grant. Cover edges are bumped and worn, with some chipping. Score mark to top of front cover. Chipping along edges of spine. Some tears to paper on spine which appear to have been repaired with glue. Browning to pages internally. A few grubby finger marks. All colour plates are present. Couple of b/w illustrations have been coloured in.

First story is 'When Hawkins Sailed the Sea'. Includes roughly 6 Louis Wain illustrations. Spine and corners are bumped and worn, with some fraying to cloth. Chipping and a few tears to pictorial onlay with a couple of pieces of loss. New endpapers. Foxing to outer page edges.

Colour pictorial boards showing two boys hiking with dog. 4 colour plates, including frontis. First story is 'The Shanghaied Mountie' by Crawford Kaye. Chunky volume. Spine and corners are bumped and worn. Chipping to cover edges and top and tail of spine. A few grubby marks to covers, with a few small scuffs. Front joint is cracked and becoming weak; webbing showing through. Some ink stamp marks to belongs to box and verso of frontis. Small tear to bottom of frontis. Light browning to page edges and margins. A few hinges are pulled. All plates are present.

Inscription in ink and some extra writing to front endpaper. Joints reinforced with clear tape. Contents lightly browned else clean. One page has a small tear to lower margin. A nice copy.

Colour frontis plus b/w and two tone illustrations of cats and some of dogs throughout. REDUCED FROM £460. Top of boards and frontispiece damp stained. Edges rubbed, corners worn. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Slight margin loss at top of title page and next four pages. A few grubby marks to last page else contents lovely, clean and bright. A nice copy of a scarce title.

Green pictorial endpapers. 24 colour plates mounted on brown paper (2 cat plates by Wain and 5 plates by Aris), numerous b/w text illustrations throughout (including many non-cat illus by Wain). 288 pages. Spine and corners bumped, corners worn, edges rubbed. A couple of scratch marks to front cover and covers slightly grubby with foxing on rear cover. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. One colour plate (of a teddy) is lightly creased and one Wain plate has a light corner crease. Contents are clean.
