Almost very good condition.
Small oblong format. Green cloth spine. Cream paper boards. Colour and b/w illustrations of Timmy and his puppy friends. Warne's Cosy Corner series. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers browned, grubby and rubbed in places. A few hinges cracked. Some grubby fingermarks to prelims. Light foxing to contents but otherwise generally clean.

Attractive grey cloth with gilt titles and vignettes. Bevelled edges. 135 pages plus publication list to rear. All edges gilt. B/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. A few light marks to covers. Name in blue ink to front pastedown, name and date in black ink to front endpaper. A few foxspots to page edges and prelims and a few light fingermarks at page margins else contents clean.

Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
The Hawkes and their sheep farming neighbours are suffering from an unknown 'killer dog' that is attacking their flocks. Suspicion centres on two dogs. Each dog is fiercely defended by its owners. Eventually, after a long night of vigil on Romney Marsh, they discover the secret of the unknown attacker, who always strikes at dawn... Blue boards, silver title to spine. B/w illustrations. Fading to ends of spine. A couple of tiny light spots to rear cover. Ink name and date to front endpaper. Tiny ink stamp '27' to rear pastedown. Contents otherwise clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and chipped with slight loss from top of spine. Tears to base of spine, small triangle detached but held in place by clear tape on verso. Spine ever so slightly faded.

Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Not sure if the book had free-endpapers, if it did then they have been removed. Inscription in ink to half-title. Front joint and some hinges cracked. Grubby fingermarks and some foxspots to contents.

The Playtime Picture Books No. 4. Puppy dog verses. Small format (13 x 11cm). 10 full page colour illustrations by Aldin plus green/white illustrations to text. Red cloth spine, grey paper boards with red title to front and white puppy dog about to land in water. Covers are grubby with slight surface paper damage to the A of 'Tails' on front cover. Front joint is cracked causing front free-endpaper to be almost detached. Small tear to edge of title-page. Foxing throughout and a few pages affected by a small brown mark at edges (includes margins of two plates - although actual pictures unaffected). Still a decent copy of a scarce book.

Extracts from the diary of a Mongrelian named Gibus, so-called, says his master, because his face reminds him of his opera hat when it is shut up! Large format. Light brown pictorial cloth. Delightful and amusing colour plates plus a few b/w text illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. A few light marks to covers. Browning to endpapers. Small piece missing from edge of rear pastedown and light stain to top corner. Ink inscription to verso of frontis. A couple of corner tips creased. A few closed margin tears with no loss. Occasional fox spots and light margin marks but overall a decent copy with contents clean and bright.

Tears to side of spine have been repaired on verso with clear tape. Spine is faded, rear panel is browned. Some grubby marks.
