A lovely book. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Fading to base of spine. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and a few page margins. Wrapper has some edge-tears and chips, with a little loss; browned; creased; some grubby marks.

Large, heavy format. Blue-green cloth with elaborate gilt decoration to front cover and gilt title and decorations to spine. 32 beautiful colour plates with captioned tissue guards. 378 pages, top edge gilt. Large format. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. A few very light marks to covers. Endpapers lightly browned. Front joint is cracked as are a couple of hinges. Small piece of surface paper damage to page 100 and verso of plate where possibly pages were lightly stuck together. Foxing throughout else contents clean. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

A Panorama Picture Book of Fairy Stories. Nister book 633. Six stunning three-dimensional stand-up scenes. Large oblong format. Green cloth spine, colour pictorial paper boards. Front cover shows the Babes in the Wood riding on a leaf in the air harnessed to a pair of robins. Green/white floral endpapers. Spine has been rebacked with red cloth. Corners and cover edges are worn. There is some scuffing to the covers. Front free-endpaper is missing. Inscription in ink to top margin of title-page. One page has a large closed tear which has been neatly repaired. From the pop-up scenes there are some flowers missing at the top of the fairy's oar (in the swan picture) and the giant is missing from behind Jack (in the Jack and the Giant picture) otherwise the pop-ups are complete, bright and in excellent working order. The text pages are well fingered and thus a little grubby. A decent copy of a scarce pop-up book.

Some page edges ragged from uneven opening.

Front and rear joints cracked causing contents to be a bit loose. Some grubby fingermarks to contents. Hinges pulled/cracked. Pages 58 and 59 lightly scribbled on with blue crayon. A decent copy of a very scarce Tarrant item.

Through them, she meets the Wise Grasshopper who helps her to learn how fairies and human kindness work together to solve many human problems. Red cloth spine. Blue pictorial paper boards. Full page colour illustrations plus b/w text illustrations. Edges lightly rubbed, covers clean and bright. Front joint starting to pull. Contents clean. Pictorial wrapper is lightly edge-worn with a few small chips and closed tears. Overall, an excellent copy.

Some animal ink stamps to edge of inside of rear cover. Not as bad as it sounds - contents still generally bright and clean.
