Boards browned, lightly rubbed at corners. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Centre hinge is pulled but binding is tight. Grubby finger marks to contents.

Cloth spine, pictorial front cover shows 3 boys pushing/pulling a girl on a sleigh. First story is "The Race". Colour plates plus b/w text illustrations. 112 pages. Spine slightly bumped and stained. Covers slightly edge worn and scuffed. Front joint is cracked at lower half causing free-endpaper and frontis to be part detached. Front joint between frontis and title-page is cracked showing webbing, lower half is broken. Hinges cracked and pulled causing contents to be loose. A decent copy overall.
