Inscription in ink to belongs to box on front pastedown. Rear joint is a bit crack and looks partially repaired. Foxing and margin marks. One plate has slight damage, otherwise still bright; a few margin marks.

Gorgeous Attwell children especially Prunella with her sticky-out pigtails and the little pixies very reminiscent of the Boo-Boos. A delight from start to finish! 10x8". 4" split to base of spine vertically and then horizontally across. Top 1" of spine is MISSING. Marks to covers. Binding is weak, where front cover is becoming detached from front pastedown and spine is coming unstuck. Front endpaper is detached to top half. Publisher bookplate to verso of frontis. Browning and foxing with some margin marks. A reading copy ONLY!
