Kay, formerly Chief of Air Staff, New Zealand, The Restless Sky is a record of a distinguished and eventful flying career - spanning the years from the time "when those of my calling were satisfied and even thrilled to chug through the air at a mere 80 m.p.h.", to the time when the author exceeded the speed of sound and was installed as a member of the exclusive '"Mach Busters" club. B/w photos. Slight discolouration to base of spine and minor mark to top of spine. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-rubbed and worn with a few closed tears and small edge-chips, heavy creasing to base of rear panel.

Rear board has a horizontal crease across lower half running right through the board so the board can be bent. Contemporary inscription in ink to front pastedown. Pencil inscription to verso of frontis. Small tear to last couple of pages (no loss). Contents generally clean. Slight odour present.
