Gilt to spine and front has rubbed. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Endpapers lightly browned. Grubby fingermarks to some page margins and textblock. Heavy foxing to a few pages.

Large format. Cloth spine. Pictorial front cover shows a young girl reading a book, with the help of pixies/fairies! Angela Brazil Story is 'The Slap-Bang Boys'. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and some cover edges; chipping along cover edges. Damp mark to corner of rear cover. Front endpaper is MISSING. Biro to page 29 and to contents page. Some foxing. 4 colour plates.

George Morrow
George Morrow 1869–1955) Irish cartoonist and book illustrator. The year 1906 marked the beginning of Morrow's long association with Punch. In 50 years Morrow was to contribute 2,704 cartoons to the publication, of which 22 were full-page political cartoons. He joined the staff of the magazine in 1924 and was appointed art editor in 1932, a position he held until 1937.
