Gilt to spine and front has rubbed. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Endpapers lightly browned. Grubby fingermarks to some page margins and textblock. Heavy foxing to a few pages.

Large format. Cloth spine. Pictorial front cover shows a young girl reading a book, with the help of pixies/fairies! Angela Brazil Story is 'The Slap-Bang Boys'. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and some cover edges; chipping along cover edges. Damp mark to corner of rear cover. Front endpaper is MISSING. Biro to page 29 and to contents page. Some foxing. 4 colour plates.
