Very good condition in a poor dustwrapper.
An un-technical work designed to provide the ordinary lay-reader with a straightforward account of the history of human flight. Blue cloth, gilt title to spine. B/w photos throughout. Spine is browned. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Browning to endpapers and outer page edges; foxing; also to page margins. Wrapper is very badly damaged; torn with half of spine MISSING: other pieces are taped back together on a white sheet of paper (now browned); tape marks etc.

Cloth backstrip has been re-glued directly to spine, loss to top & tail, touched up with blue ink to sides. Rear hinge pulled. A few marks to contents. A few scattered foxspots. One plate has a corner crease.

Endpapers browned. Some foxing to text block and page edges.
