Leaf patterned endpapers. B/w illustrations. 145 pages. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Endpapers and pages lightly browned with occasional light margin marks.
Pictorial boards, spiral bound. Large open-out colour illustrations with small paragraph of text opposite. A lovely learning book for children. Scuffing and wear to corners and edges of covers. A few marks also to covers. Light foxing to some pages. Illustrations are still lovely and bright.
Or Letters to Children on the Three Lowest Divisions of Animal Life. Red cloth with blind border to front and back. Gilt title to spine and gilt title and vignette to front cover. B/w illustrations. 341 pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Split in cloth to rear of spine. Covers are marked and grubby. Front joint beginning to crack. Name to top of front endpaper. Erased pencil writing to verso of front endpaper. Endpapers a little grubby. Top corner of last blank page grubby. Some fingering and marks to contents.

Colour frontis by Hugh Thomson 'The Blinded Soldier' tipped in. B/w and colour plates. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Some bumping to cover edges. Covers are grubby and marked. Both joints are slightly cracked. Foxing to page edges and margins and some fingering but many pages are clean.
3rd edition. Dark purple cloth with gilt titles and decorations. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. 3rd edition. Spine is browned, with a couple of nicks to top and tail; small amount of fraying to cloth. Marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Page browning, with a bit of foxing.
Blue cloth with white titles and circular onlay to front. Tipped-in colour frontis and b/w plates. Spine faded (titles hardly visible). Corners bumped and lightly worn. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. All plates present.
Oriental tales with Occi (or acci)dental fittings. Green cloth, black and red titles and black vignettes. 312 pages. B/w text illustrations. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Some light browning to spine and light fading to title. Endpapers and outer page edges lightly browned. A couple of light marks to page margins and a couple of hinges are just starting to crack.
