Popular edition. Large format. Yellow cloth, blue titles and vignette to front cover. Pencil sketches showing "all the experiment and wonder of the child in growing". Covers have some very light dampstains, with a couple of chips, top corner of front cover is badly bumped resulting in light corner creasing to pages. Wrapper is unevenly browned, edge-creased and slightly chipped with damp staining to spine and rear panel. Contents very good, bright and clean.

Twenty-Four Country Essays set in that undulating and tranquil part of Warwickshire which lies between Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick and, for the rest, in the North Cotswolds. Brown cloth, gilt title to spine and brown title to front. B/w wood engravings. Some fading to top and tail of spine. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Page edge browning. Wrapper is price-cut with uneven browning to covers; some loss to top and tail of spine. Wrapper almost in two sections (split along front fold of spine).
Blue boards, white title to spine. B/w photos. Bumping to spine and corners. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is edge-creased with a few tears; some grubby marks. A little loss.
Green cloth spine, gilt titles. Grey boards with green title to front. Delightful pencil sketches of children and their doings. Spine bumped and browned. Covers very marked and heavy wear to corners. A few b/w photos of a child have been stuck to pages and one to front pastedown. A couple of hinges cracked. Only one tissue guard present and it is torn. Some fox spots and marks to contents including erased pencil writing to one page. Colouring to one small illustration. Light page browning.
On'y Tony meets Bell's brother, known as the Dragon, and through him did a great many very naughty things. Pale blue marble effect boards with blue spine and dark blue titles. B/w illustrations. 80 pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Top of spine darkened, edges of covers browned and foxed. Endpapers browned. One hinge cracked. Dustwrapper has loss from top and bottom of spine and is also torn along the spine. Also loss at bottom of front panel, tears and chipping elsewhere. Spine very browned, rear panel a bit grubby.
