Small bookshop label to front pastedown. Rear hinge pulled. Contents clean.Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-chipped with a few closed tears repaired with tape, rear panel is a little grubby. Overall a nice copy.

Slightly better than very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
The author's two remarkable expeditions to the South Seas in search of people and their primitive way of life, although it was the lure of seeing birds of paradise in their natural surroundings that drew him tino the heart of primitive New Guinea. Terracotta cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos and 5 colour. Light shelf wear to base of spine and light knock to lower edge of front board. Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is nice and bright, lightly edge-rubbed, Couple of closed edge-tears (no loss) and a little grubby to rear panel. A very nice copy.
