Brown pictorial endpapers. B/w frontis. 288 pages. Spine and corners bumped. Spine and board edges browned. Endpapers browned. Inscription in ink to front flyleaf. Foxing to prelims and page edges. Slight crease to a couple of pages (binding error). Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with loss to top and bottom of spine. Wrapper is browned and grubby.
Blue cloth with black titles and decoration to front cover. B/w plates. Spine is very browned, with wear; chipping to top and tail; some fraying to cloth. Uneven browning/fading also to rest of covers, with spotting and scuffing. Some foxing and margin marks. All plates present.
Green/grey pictorial cloth with red/brown titles. B/w pictorial endpapers. 12 tipped in colour plates with captioned tissue guards. B/w illustrations. Top edge gilt. Heavy bumping and wear to spine and corners. Uneven fading and some scuffing to covers. Front endpaper and prelim text page are detached, with chipping and creasing, but loosely inserted. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Some foxing. A few grubby margin marks. All plates are present - some tissue-guards are creased/detached. A reading copy.
Contains three famous books The New Girl, The New Prefect and A Young Pretender. Tan cloth covers with black titles. Top edge blue. Spine bumped and worn, corners worn. Covers slightly grubby. Presentation plate to front pastedown. Rear joint starting to crack. Browning to endpapers and prelims.

Front joint is cracked and has an old tape repair (tape coming unstuck). Small pieces missing to top margin of page 173/4 (not affecting text). Some page corners lightly creased.
