Brown pictorial cloth. Illustrated endpapers. 8 colour plates. 311 pages. Spine bumped. Some light foxing. A couple of pages have very slight ragged edges. Price-cut dustwrapper is very worn with loss, old tape repair to lower edge of spine and front panel (tape has browned), newer tape repairs on edges of verso. Rear panel is slightly grubby.
Dark blue cloth, silver title to spine. Endpapers decorated with fairies. Colour frontis. B/w plates and tailpieces. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Light dusty mark to top edge of front cover. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge chipped with loss and grubby on rear panel.

Remains of book label to front endpaper. Browning to endpapers, title page and some page edges. Some hinges cracked. Foxing mainly to page edges. One plate creased at top corner. Dusty marks to last page of text, although text is still legible.

Slight crease to a couple of pages (binding error). Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with loss to top and bottom of spine. Wrapper is browned and grubby.

Both joints cracked showing webbing beneath. Some hinges also cracked. Browning to pages. Grubby marks to margins, including to some plates.
