It was towards the middle of the afternoon that two aeroplanes flying wing-tip to wing-tip, headed eastwards towards the bleak moors on which Bleakmoor Prison was situated. The two pilots had planned an amazing escape of one of the prisoners... Light bumping to spine and corners. Some browning to top and tail of spine and cover edges. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and some page margins. Page edge browning. Ink smudges to a couple of pages of prelims. Wrapper is price-cut with edge-tears and chips; loss to top of spine and a couple of corners; faded to spine. Wrapper also has some grubby marks.
