Blue boards, red title to spine. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. Spine slightly bumped with slight browning at top and tail. Foxing to textblock and endpapers. Some light brown stains to margins of a few of the first few pages. Wrapper is price-cut by publisher ('new' price printed above) and edge worn with slight loss.

Dustwrapper is missing the rear flap, 2" to base of spine and 0.5" to top. The remains of the wrapper is very worn, torn and creased. A nice copy in a poor wrapper.

Name and date in pencil and small red marks with small patches of surface paper damage to front pastedown. Outside edge of front endpaper and frontis creased and nicked. A couple of hinges cracked. Endpapers and contents browned with a couple of marks.
