'Special Prize' written in ink to rear pastedown. Rear endpaper creased. Foxing especially to endpapers and fingering to page margins.

Heavy foxing to title page, frontis and half-title page. Light foxing to page edges. Book has musty smell. Price-cut dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and creased. Large tear to front panel, stain to bottom part of spine and panels alongside. Some browning. Clear tape stuck on verso to edges and tears. Foxed.

Pale foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Previous owners bookplate stuck to front pastedown. Wrapper is unevenly browned.
