Spine, corners and cover edges bumped and worn. Covers grubby. Top 2" of front endpaper removed. TJ in circle in pen to half-title page. Foxing to contents but generally clean. All plates present, frontis is detached.

Spine and corners bumped and worn, nick to top edge of spine. Covers slightly grubby with pale pink stain to top corner of rear cover. Front endpaper has been stuck to pastedown. Rear joint and a few hinges cracked. Foxing to text block. Grubby mark to rear pastedown. Contents generally clean.

Spine bumped and rubbed with small splits to top and bottom. Corners bumped and worn. Board edges rubbed. Covers grubby and marked. Front joint cracked and mended with tape. Frontis detached. Slight colouring to one plate. Pencil scribble to rear endpapers and some other pages. Red pen and pencil scribble to verso of one plate. A little foxing and some fingering to page margins.

Cream cloth spine with black title and illustration. Pictorial front board shows boy watching girl make cats cradle in hands (oriental dragon on wall behind). Colour plates and illustrations, b/w text illustrations. First story is "How We Stole an Uncle From Australia". Edges rubbed & worn. Hinge between colour plate & 117 and also 136 & colour plate is pulled (i.e. the section is starting to loosen but binding is still holding). A few minor margin marks. All colour plates present. A few closed margin tears. Overall a nice, bright copy.

Endpapers lightly browned. Small booksellers ink stamp to rear pastedown. Dustwrapper is slightly edge chipped, there is a white sticky label to verso of base of spine for reinforcement.
