Orange cloth, gilt title to spine. Three volumes in one. B/w plates. Spine and corners bumped. Covers slightly grubby. Pencil writing (name and address) to front free-endpaper. Endpapers slightly browned, textblock slightly grubby.
An adaptation of the poem by Ann Taylor, with a prose version and two musical settings. Comus is the pseudonym for R.M.Ballantyne. Large format. Green embossed cloth with gilt title and vignette to front cover. 32 pages. 8 attractive colour plates. The story of a kitten. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Grubby marks and uneven fading to covers. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Creasing and a few margin tears, foxing, including to plate pages. Frontis is very creased; appears to at one time have been folded. Some damp marks. A reading copy.

Minimal bumping to spine. Contents fine. Cream dustwrapper is edge worn and slightly grubby, small tear to lower corner of front panel.

A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Covers slightly grubby with faint stains only visible at certain angles. Most hinges cracked. Personal library label to front pastedown and ink inscription to front endpaper. Half-title browned. Light browning and a few marks to contents.

Spine bumped, slightly worn with light vertical creases, also darkened. Corners bumped and worn. Covers slightly grubby. Both joints partially cracked. A couple of hinges cracked, binding still firm. Two small edge tears to front endpaper. Foxing, mainly to text block. Just an odd mark to contents.

Spine and corners worn. Damp stain to lower edge of front cover (4.5 x 1") affects the lower edges of the front endpapers and first 12 pages (including 3 plates - margins only, pictures not affected). Previous owner's name and address in ink to front endpaper. Some light foxing and fingering, a small closed tear and light creasing to front endpaper. Not as bad as it sounds, still a nice copy.
