Large format. Red cloth spine with black titles and black vignette, pictorial front board shows small girl riding on shoulders of older girl. Advert to rear cover. Blue pictorial endpapers. Colour plates, two-tone and b/w text illustrations. Spine bumped with a few small, light marks. Wear to corners and cover edges. Rear cover slightly grubby. Paper covering rear joint split for 1" at top and bottom. Nick to outside edge of front endpaper. Dated ink inscription to verso of frontis. A couple of hinges cracked. Brown mark, mostly to inner margins of two pages, one of which is a two-tone illustration page. A few fox spots and fingermarks but generally clean otherwise.

Light brown cloth with red title to spine. Black and white frontis by Lumley. Spine is bumped and darkened to top. A few grubby marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper has 2" missing from top of spine; rest is browned. A few marks to covers; uneven browning and grubby marks to edges; some closed tears and chips, with minimal loss.

Red cloth spine with black title, pictorial front board showing children on tricycle with dog running beside them. First story is "The Young Adventurers" by Fielding. Colour plates plus b/w and two-colour illustrations. Spine and corners bumped, some slight wear to cover edges. Prize plate to front endpaper. Endpapers lightly browned. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn and torn and a little grubby on rear panel, tape repairs/reinforcements on verso.

Some foxing to internal pages and outer page edges. Hinge next to title page/frontis is a bit cracked. Pictorial wrapper is edge-torn and chipped, with only minimal loss and a few grubby marks.
