Splitting to sides of spine, with chipping; some loss to top and tail. Wear and scuffing along cover edges. Front endpaper appears to have been very neatly removed! Foxing. Ink to illustration on page 75.

Brown slip case with pictorial onlay containing two volumes. Books have cream p/w with pictorial onlays, and b/w illustrations throughout. 9 x 6". Staples to both bindings have rusted, so that covers have come away from contents. Original glassine wrappers are still present, with brown marks from rusting staples; chipping to edges. Slip case is good; grubby with couple of splits at edges.

Spine bumped and worn with a small hole in the cloth at the top and a few small marks. Corners bumped and worn. Board edges are scuffed. Front joint cracked showing webbing beneath in places. Light damp stain to bottom of prelims and visible on several other pages. Some foxing and page browning otherwise contents generally clean.
