Coloured picture book for the nursery. 11.5 x 8.5". Blue decorated cloth. 16 colour illustrations. Printed one side on untearable paper. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Light damp stain to top 2" of rear cover. Endpapers browned. New front free-endpaper. Foxing and some grubby fingering, showing mainly on unprinted sides of pages. Small ink mark to one page (unprinted).

Brown cloth spine with dark brown title and illustration, pictorial front board. Colour plates plus b/w text illustrations (mostly Wain but others also). Spine is grubby. Covers are edge worn and also grubby, a couple of small scratch marks to front cover. New endpapers. Some light foxing. Some colouring to some of the b/w illustrations and some erasing as well. There is a musty (tobbaco?) smell to the contents.

B/w illustrations throughout, many of cats! 87 pages. 10 x 8". Spine has faded to brown, with some other marks; appears to have been repaired to top and tail at some point. Heavy scuffing and surface paper damage to covers. Corners are bumped and very worn. Joint/hinge between title page and frontis is cracked, showing stitching and webbing. Foxing and browning to pages throughout.

Spine and corners bumped, some browning to cover edges. Split to lower 1" of rear edge of spine and some water(?) damage to lower edges of rear cover. Endpapers browned. Some foxing and grubby fingermarks to contents. Price-cut wrapper is worn, torn and creased. Some pulling of hinges causing contents to be slightly loose.
