Some wear to spine and corners. Browning to endpapers and outer page edges; a little foxing. Wrapper is worn and scuffed along edges; creased with some tears and chips; a little loss to top of spine. Some marks to wrapper.

Spine bumped and faded with 3.5" piece of red cloth stuck to top part of spine, looks like spine is missing underneath. Splits and fraying to both sides of middle of spine. Wear to corners and cover edges. Covers are grubby and marked. Rear joint starting to crack. Couple of tissue guards creased. Some grubby marks/fingermarks but most pages are clean. All plates present.

The veil of the occult running through the tale will grip, as also will the adventures of the main character depicted in Civil and Army Life. Orange cloth covers with dark titles to spine and front cover. B/w illustrations. 83 pages. SIGNED by author, with date, on front endpaper. A little bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. A few white marks to covers. Light browning and foxing to endpapers, rest of contents very good. Price-cut dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and chipped with some stains to panels.

A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Pages are lightly browned but contents are clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some tears and chips, tear across spine near top, slight loss from ends of spine. Bottom corner cut from front flap. Wrapper is a little grubby.
