Pictorial front board showing man at the top of a ships mast. Red cloth spine. Colour plates, b/w illustrations. First story is "Bunkered" by Lushington. Covers are edge rubbed and slightly grubby. Endpapers are partially browned. Foxing to contents. Hinges are cracked and pulled causing contents to be slightly loose.

First story is "The Merchants' Cup" by Bone. Spine bumped, corners slightly worn. Fading to cover edges and to spine. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. endpapers partly browned. Plates loose, some with slightly ragged edges. Heavy foxing to contents.

Yellow cloth spine. Pictorial front board, showing pirate scene. First story is 'Musholme' by Lawrence R. Bourne. Colour frontis and 5 other plates. B/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped, corners worn. Name plate to front free-endpaper. Heavy foxing to textblock, some foxing to page margins. A couple of small margin tears, including one of the plates.
Puffin Picture Book no. 43. Pictorial paper wraps. Colour and b/w lithographed illustrations. Lithographed by Charles and Read Ltd. 2nd issue of 1st edition. Covers slightly grubby and edge worn. Small tear to top edge of front cover and slight loss to lower spine corner of front cover. A few small marks to page margins else contents clean.
Second, revised edition. Getting in the saddle of the horse! Red cloth boards, gilt titles. 26 b/w plates. Spine heavily faded but gilt still bright. Endpapers browned and a few foxspots to contents.

Small booksellers sticker to rear pastedown. Small erasure mark to top corner of front free-endpaper. Pale foxing and fingering to contents which are generally clean.
