Almost very good condition.
12 plates, 11 of which are hand-painted illustrations from the author's own drawings, with particulars of the dressings and season of each fly. Book also contains chapters on fishing the Minnow, The Creeper, The Stonefly, and The Worn in clear water, with an extra plate showing the hooks necessary therefore. Second edition. This book has been expertly rebacked with original spine laid down. Plates are all present - but plate 4 is missing its tissue-guard. Bumping and wear to spine and corners; a few scuff marks. Bookplate to front pastedown. Ink stamp to half-title page. A few light margin marks and browning; a little foxing.

Covers grubby and marked. Both joints cracked, showing webbing beneath, and some hinges cracked. Prize plate and small bookseller's label to front endpaper. Some foxing, worst on verso of plates. Contents mostly clean.
