A sequel to Snail and the Pennithornes. Pale blue boards with white titles to spine and vignette to front. B/w text illustrations. Spine slightly bumped. Light browning to cover edges. Foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is foxed on verso, edge rubbed with minimal loss and some light damp staining to spine.

Small brown spot to edge of front cover. Foxing to endpapers, textblock and some page margins. Dustwrapper is price-cut, grubby and edge rubbed. Damp stain to wrapper spine and small red mark to lower edge of front panel.

Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is grubby, faded to spine and chipped at edges.
