Charming Colour Books for Children series. Grey-green cloth covers with black titles to front and spine. 30 colour plates and 18 monotone. 472 pages. Pictorial endpapers. Bumping to corners. Fading to spine. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. A few marks to outer page edges. All colour plates are present. Wrapper is price-cut with edge-tears and chips; one piece of loss to top of front panel; a few other smaller chips of loss.
Light brown cloth with black titles and pictorial onlay of a scene in Aladdin to front. Pictorial endpapers. 48 colour plates. Stories included are: Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves; Sinbad the Sailor; Aladdin: or the Wonderful Lamp; The Sleeper Awakened; The Enchanted Horse; and The Talkative Barber. Some browning to spine. A few marks to covers. Large inscription to verso of frontis. Pencil and pencil colour inscription to verso of front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is torn and chipped, with a large piece of loss to bottom edge of front panel; other smaller pieces of loss to corners. Wrapper is also creased and worn. Numbers written in colour to front flap. All plates present.

Colour frontis is 'The Home of the Mermaid'. Spine is very faded, with some foxspots. Corners very worn with top corner creased. Front and rear joints cracked and weak but remainder of binding sound. Name in ink to verso of front endpaper. Minimal foxing to contents.

Blue cloth spine, gold pictorial boards with front cover showing girl in white dress and cap with a dog. 12 coloured plates numerous b/w illustrations. First story - The Soldiers. Spine bumped, worn and darkened. Corners bumped and worn. A couple of heavy bumps to cover edges. A few light scratches to covers. A couple of hinges cracked at start of book, first gathering pulled. Contents generally clean but with some browning and foxing.
