Cover edges have some wear and there are a couple of creased corners. Inscription in ink in belongs to box. Not price-cut. Some page corners are a little creased. Odd foxspot. Surface paper damage to inside rear cover and to rear endpaper. Contents are bright.

Painting page to prelims of book has been partially done with water colours. Grubby marks to outer page edges and a few to page margins. Contents are nice and bright.

A few marks and wear to covers. 2.5" split to rear side of spine. Chipping to onlay at top of spine. Foxing throughout, but mostly to endpapers and outer page edges. All plates present, one has a closed margin tear to it. Binding nice and tight!

Spine has been rebacked, with original laid down; 'Monster' in title has been neatly redone on new part of spine. Couple of white paper tape repairs to joints. Inscription ink to front pastedown. Some foxing. A little colouring to a few line drawings internally. A few hinges are a little pulled.

What appears to be a list of children's names - possibly in the same class during 1921. Some foxing and browning. A few grubby margin marks. All plates present. Wrapper is browned with a few large tears and chips; some loss, especially to top of spine and top of front panel; some tape repairs.
