Small oblong format. Cream pictorial card wraps. A story without words showing how the zebra came to be. 8 delightful colour pictures. Author's first English title. 1" to front side of spine is slightly browned. A few very light scuff marks to covers but generally clean. Ever so slight creases to top page corners. Contents very clean. A nice copy of this rare story without words.

Some light foxing and fingering but contents generally clean. Price-cut wrapper is edge worn with slight loss, browned to spine and a bit grubby/soiled.

Top and tail of spine slightly faded. Spine slightly bumped. Last few pages lightly foxed else contents fine. Original brown wrapper with pictorial onlay is price-cut and very slightly nicked at top and tail of spine. A lovely copy of this rare title.

This is Patrick O'Brian's first book, written when he was still in school, under his real name 'Patrick Russ'. Red cloth with green titles. Colour frontis, b/w illustrations. Caesar is a cub in the Tibetan forests; it follows his early wild life, how he became an orphan and also tells of his capture and taming. REDUCED PRICE. Spine and cover edges are faded, with some more fading starting to affect front and back covers. Light foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. In 2ND issue dustwrapper with colour pictorial onlay to front. The wrapper is showing browning, to same parts that are faded undernath. A few light marks but complete with no tears or chips.

One hinge pulled, a few foxspots and finger marks. 2.25" closed tear to bottom edge of 'up with the lark'. A nice copy.
