Reproduced from a rare copy, published around 1870, in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the first in which the drawings appeared in colour. Large format. Red cloth boards with gilt titles. Cream endpapers. Bold colour illustrations. Unpaginated. ISBN: 0723227152. Very light fading to boards. Minor pencil erasure mark to half-title page. Else a clean copy. Red pictorial dustwrapper is lightly edge-creased, lightly faded to spine and a small nick, minor wear to top of spine.

Large format. Pictorial front board shows 2 aeroplanes, one crashed in the show and the other flying over the mountains. Also a couple of birds of prey being shot at with arrows from the ground. First story is 'When The Red Tide Flows'. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Covers slightly edge rubbed. Name in belongs to box. A few small margin tears and a couple of light corner creases. Contents browned but otherwise clean.
