The Polytint Fairy Tales, No 1. Dark pink cloth spine, pictorial boards. Pink and white striped endpapers. Lovely colour illustrations. Unpaginated. 10.5 x 7.5". Edges very lightly rubbed with very slight wear. Contents clean and bright. Matching red pictorial wrapper lightly rubbed and worn at edges with a closed edge tear that has been repaired to verso with a wide label.

Cream pictorial endpapers. 24 short chapters each with a colour plate. Spine slightly bumped. Light rubbing to cover edges. Some foxing and discolouration to front board and light scuffing to rear board. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Front joint just starting to crack. Foxing to contents but plates beautifully bright and contents generally clean.

Embossed green cloth with gilt titles and vignettes. 176 pages, all edges gilt. 6 hand-coloured plates with tissue-guards. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Covers a little darkened. Grubby fingermarks to page margins throughout (including to plate margins but actual illustrations still lovely and bright). Foxing to tissue-guards. A light scratch mark to margin of frontis affects the picture a little bit.
