Stiff card covers. Chromolithograph illustrations. Binding has possibly at one time been neatly repaired. Wear to spine. A few marks to covers, including inscription in ink to top of front cover. Inscription in ink also to title page. Some 'spotting' to illustrations - it appears that there has been some transfer of colour to text pages opposite.

Bumping and wear to spine and corners; some browning and marks to spine; chipping and a little fraying to cloth at top and tail. Scuff marks to covers. Joints are a little cracked. Browning to endpapers; some foxing; a few grubby margin marks. Light pencil colouring to prelims; partially erased.

Large oblong format. Cloth spine, pictorial front cover. 5 beautiful fold-down full-page chromo-lithographed layered scenes. B/w illustrations. Board corners worn with some surface loss; spine scuffed at top & tail with fading and slight fraying of cloth. Boards a little scuffed and marked. Hinges strengthened with bookbinding tape. One pop-up scene is edge creased, with corner repair. Scattered foxing.

Brown mark to edge of Moses title page. Water stain to outside edge of both sets of endpapers. Some browning to contents but is mostly from colour illustration opposite.
