Almost very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper.
Green cloth with silver titles. 3 b/w plates. 222 pages. Bumping to spine and corners. Slight rubbing to titles on front cover. Small bump to side of front board. Couple of hinges are cracked. Top edge of text block is dusty. Some light fingering. Scarce dustwrapper is edge worn and creased with loss to top and bottom of spine and corners. Rear panel is torn and mended on verso with tape. . Wrapper is a little grubby.

Front joint cracked between frontis and title page. A couple of hinges starting to crack. Endpapers browned, white marks to rear endpapers. Text pages very good.

A few small marks to covers, picture on front is rubbed with some spots of loss. Presentation plate to front pastedown, surface paper damage to plate. Joints and some hinges cracked but binding is firm. Small tear to top edge of front endpaper. An odd mark to contents. Some foxing, especially top of first few text pages. All plates present.

18-year-old Margery Paine goes to Rainbows, a model village built by a young heiress, to open its first sweet shop. Blue cloth, black title to spine. B/w frontis. 258 pages. Spine and corners bumped, slight browning to lower edges of covers. Prize plate to front free-endpaper has been mostly removed. Foxing to contents which are otherwise clean. Price-cut wrapper is edge chipped with slight loss to spine and corners and is slightly grubby to rear panel.
