An unusual story in British colonial history in that much of Kenya was long regarded as a 'white man's country' and attracted a mixed bag of settlers, mainly hardworking farmers but a few playboys. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. xi and 316 pages including index. ISBN: 1850435715. Small date written in ink to front pastedown. Else contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is lightly faded to spine, rubbed at corners, small dampstain to base of spine, publisher's price label to front flap.

Light vertical crease to free front endpaper, tip of lower corner of contents lightly creased (likely to have been dropped at some point but boards not affected). Else a lovely copy. This is copy 1198. Contained in publisher's red cloth solander case which is lightly speckled.
