Nearly fine condition in a very good dustwrapper.

First Aeronautical Weekly in the World, founded January 1909. Volume XLIX covers January to June, 1946. Nos 1932 to 1956 bound in one volume. Large format. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos and illustrations and a few colour, some folding illustrations. Ex-library in library binding. Boards grubby and marked, spine faded and stained. Text block browned. Library markings to front endpaper and some magazine title pages. Binding is tight. Old post-it note stuck to page 57 pulling surface paper from page. A few foxspots and some page browning but contents generally clean.

Very large format. Black calf leather spine & corners, dark green textured cloth boards with gilt title to front. No title to spine. From volume I Friday December 20th 1985 through to volume II Friday 11th December 1896, complete in one volume. B/w photos throughout. Leather spine rubbed and scuffed, boards scuffed and worn at lower edges. New endpapers. Some pages not bound in (but present). Some title pages have loss/tape marks. Tape repair to width of page 139 now yellowed with age. A few margin marks and tears.

Edited by G.A.Hutchison, stories by numerous authors. First item (a poem) is 'A Holiday Discovery' by Somerville Gibney. Blue & white pictorial paper wraps. Staple binding. B/w Frontis by Alfred Pearse plus numerous b/w illustrations by multiple people throughout. Adverts to front and rear. Staples rusty and bleeding therefore binding is a little fragile especially for the covers. Spine is worn with a little loss. Covers are browned. A few marks mainly to margins but overall a good copy for a magazine of this age!
