A few foxspots to textblock. Price-cut wrapper is grubby and foxed, chipped to lower front corner with small tear to top front spine edge and name in ink to front panel.

B/w illustrations throughout. 88 pages. Early Bird Series No. 12. ISBN: 071820171X. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Endpapers are grubby, pencil writing erased from front endpaper. Some grubby marks to page margins. Textblock is lightly foxed. Price-cut wrapper (with 'new' publisher price of 10/- net/50p net printed beside this) is slightly foxed and edge worn, wear to base of spine with small patch of surface paper damage to rear panel.

Yellow boards, green title to spine and vignette to front cover. 4 wonderful colour plates plus b/w text illustrations. Monty was a Bachelor Hedgehog of settled habits but he was lonely... Some browning and brown tape glue marks to edges. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and some page margins. All colour plate are present - some browning. Wrapper is price-cut with tears and chips; a little loss to top of spine; some grubby marks; has been strengthened with sticky tape to edges and folds to verso.

One day a mischievous leprechaun leads a band of followers in an attempt to break up the railway... Humour and excitement is captured with ingenious detail in BB's superb b/w illustrations and colour frontis. Blue pictorial boards. 127 pages. Spine and corners bumped. Fading to top and tail of spine and some slight fading to lower cover edges. Endpapers lightly browned. Dustwrapper is edge chipped with some loss and more substantial loss to base of spine and lower edge of rear panel (1"). Dustwrapper is also slightly grubby.
