Fading to covers. Neat writing in ink to endpapers, pictures and small paper clippings stuck to endpapers, prelims and to rear fly-leaf. Browning to endpapersl. Light foxing to page margins.

Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers scuffed and marked. Front joint is cracked, hinges pulled showing stitching beneath but binding still tight. This is a well loved edition and the pages are quite grubby in places.

Green cloth with gilt titles and vignettes. Plates are mounted on thick card with paper guards. No text. Copy no: 10. Spine and corners bumped with wear. Some foxing and a few small marks to covers. Front joint cracked, rear joint starting to crack. Light corner crease to both endpapers, title page and signature page. Some foxing and browning to contents. Foxing to first plate and just a couple of fox spots to second plate.
