Oblong format. Yellow pictorial boards. Colour illustrations. Small splits at top and tail of spine. Lower corner tips very slightly creased. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and grubby, pink stain to front panel (a couple of smaller pink spots to both panels), small piece torn from lower corner of front flap. Covers are slightly curved (book doesn't sit flat on the desk).

The Lockett family had not been on their Thames island many days before Adventure cropped up in the usual fashion... Green cloth, blue title to spine. Blue pictorial endpapers. B/w illustrations. Horizontal line across front cover and spine - defect in the cloth. Wrapper lightly browned and edge-rubbed.
