Index to the Direct Roads from London. Coach Directory, list of inns throughout the Metropolis from which mail and other stage coaches depart. Index to Country Seats. 946 pages + 3 page booklist to rear of publications by J. Cary. Rebound with new boards, new leather, new endpapers. Some professional paper repair especially to map of UK which is missing a good portion of the UK (see photo). Text block heavily browned, contents also heavily browned and with foxing, some damp staining to margins, some more so than others, text is legible. All plates present with browning and foxing. Overall a good copy for a book 200 years old.

Each volume has an essay and 6 plates. Eight volumes with light edge0wear and browning to cover edges. All plates are present. Volume III has some foxing to a plate or two and facing blank pages, Volume VII has foxing to pages and plates are foxed on verso of page. Volume VIII has foxing to 1st plate and facing blank page. Some top edges unopened. All contained in a large presentation folder with ribbon clasp, folder is very worn, browned and scufffed, foxing to inside boards, spine is split. A nice, complete set.

Letters to Pauline Chase when she was playing the part of Peter Pan. Brown pictorial cloth with white titles. Fold-out map of Never Never Land to rear of book. Colour frontis. Spine is browned and title to spine has rubbed away. Covers a bit grubby. Name and date in ink to front pastedown. SIGNED by Pauline Chase to lower margin of frontis. Frontis has been removed from original position and taped in between title-page and introduction page (old tape marks to margins of these pages and to margin of frontis). Foxspots to contents. Biro annotation marks to the last letter (page 63 & 64) and map at rear is creased and torn with old tape marks. Booksellers sticker to rear pastedown. A few small, light marks to page margins and one hinge is cracked showing webbing beneath.
