Large format. Beige cloth spine, pictorial front board. Floral decorated endpapers. Full-page colour (chromolithograph) and b/w text illustrations. Spine bumped, corners worn (covered with clear tape). Edges slightly rubbed and a couple of tiny dents to top edge of front cover. Small splash mark to front cover. Inscription in ink and some extra writing to front endpaper. Joints reinforced with clear tape. Contents lightly browned else clean. One page has a small tear to lower margin. A nice copy.

Large format. Pictorial cardwraps. Vibrant colour pictures. Covers creased and grubby, corners worn with splits to top and tail of spine. Inscription in ink to inside of front cover (dated 1951). Page corner tips very lightly creased. A light damp stain affects the top margins of most pages. Light foxing throughout, mainly to insides of covers. Some animal ink stamps to edge of inside of rear cover. Not as bad as it sounds - contents still generally bright and clean.

Grubby fingermarks to some page margins but generally contents clean. A nice example - copy no. 4.

White pictorial wrapper is grubby with closed tears (several tape repairs on verso - the tape is old and has yellowed causing the slight marks on the covers mentioned perviously). A nice copy.
